Edwin Capili and Edgar Bagarinao, both acknowledged business chamber leaders in Dipolog have assumed top positions in the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). Capili is now the new PCCI Area Vice President for Mindanao while Bagarinao will now serve as PCCI Regional Governor for Western Mindanao.
As Area Vice President, Capili will now take the lead in overseeing the development of the more than 30 PCCI-affiliated local chambers in Mindanao. He will likewise sit in the PCCI national board. On the other hand, Bagarinao will assume the responsibilities of Regional Governor covering the local Chambers of Dipolog, Dapitan, Pagadian, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga City, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
The two Chamber leaders have assumed their respective positions on January 1 this year after winning the elections conducted by PCCI for local chambers held last October at the Manila Hotel during the Philippine Business Conference. They will both serve until end of 2011.
